In Good Company
On friendship, belonging and a game shared.

A game gives people something to gather around. The table sets the distance. A turn passes from one person to another; the conversation carries on between shots.
We chose AMES for its associations with friendship and being beloved. The name holds something of the company we keep, and the objects that become familiar through use.

A love of pool and billiards belongs to that beginning. The geometry matters, but so does the reason to stay at the table. Play makes room for attention, rivalry and the pleasure of another person’s company.
An object can keep a little of that feeling after the game is over.
